INGREDIENTS

12 lasagne noodles
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 pound ground beef (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATION STEPS

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagne noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and lay them flat on a clean surface.
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
Spread a thin layer of the cheese mixture onto each lasagne noodle. If using ground beef, brown it in a skillet, drain the excess fat, and sprinkle it over the cheese mixture.
Roll up each noodle tightly and place seam side down in a baking dish that has a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the rolls and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
